Mr. A. LeVian, the beloved father of the LeVian family and the founder of the Le Vian® Company in New York in 1950, passed away on February 7, 2000 in North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York at the age of 78 after courageously fighting a prolonged illness. The head office of Le Vian® Corporation in New York remained closed for one week immediately following his passing as a mark of respect for the Founder and Chairman. The extent of this personal tragedy for the whole family was conveyed in these simple words from Eddie LeVian (CEO, Le Vian® Corp) - "I hope no one has to see a loved one suffer like that..." Mr. LeVian’s funeral was held on Tuesday, February 8th at the Mashadi Jewish Center, in Great Neck, NY.
